It’s one thing to cover a wall. It’s quite another to cover a quarter of a century with exceptional products and phenomenal customer service.

A legacy that began in 1981, National Wallcovering was launched from the dedication and passion of Larry Bixler, an employee of Pittsburgh Paint. Leaving his 22 year career as Store Manager, Larry developed his first private label wallcovering. And the rest is history.

With the help of Laminating Services, BixFab was created and began to distribute out of the Bixler’s home under the name of Expertise Wallcovering. Shortly after the company was established, Larry secured a 19,000 yard order for the Little Rock Children’s Hospital, proving to be the springboard for an amazing record of company growth.

The Expertise market expanded from Arkansas to Oklahoma in 1985, then just two years later, added Kansas City. Shortly after in 1989, the St. Louis market was developed. Then, due to rapid growth, sales reps were hired and a new office was established in the heart of Little Rock.

Since its establishment in 1981, National Wallcovering has grown from one territory to 28, from one employee to over 60, and from a basement office to a corporate headquarters. The longevity of the company’s rich history, along with the innovation and leadership of Larry Bixler, has helped to establish National Wallcovering as a major distributor within the design industry.
